Seeking Minister of Worship and Families
The First Baptist Church of Tucumcari, NM is seeking a full time Minister of Worship and Families. This Minister will be responsible for all aspects of the music ministry including, leading a blended worship service, and encouraging the development of musical gifts within the church family. Applicant should be gifted to lead and minister in various other areas of our church under the leadership of the Senior Pastor.
Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
College degree or seminary degree preferred, but not required
Requires a minimum of 2 years experience in the music ministry role
Requires another area of church ministry
Requires experience in leading worship in a congregational setting
Requires ability to play at least one musical instrument and read music
Requires ability to speak, read and write English
Requires the ability to listen effectively and to communicate clearly, both orally and in written form
Ability to speak confidently before groups
Requires strong leadership, administrative, and organizational skills
Requires knowledge and functional usage of computer software to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. html/website administration preferred but not required.
Requires commitment to biblical Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally as specified in The Baptist Faith and Message (2000)
Requires good health sufficient to fulfill stated duties
Requires ability to walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
Requires acceptable criminal and financial background checks including a sexual background check

Email JohnJohn Hinze began his ministry at First Baptist Church on June 14, 2009. Brother John and his wife, Marcia, the former Marcia R. Jordan of Artesia, have returned to Eastern New Mexico from Carlsbad, where he had been pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church for the past 11 years.
During his time in Southern New Mexico, Brother Hinze chaired Pecos Valley Baptist Association's credentials, resolutions, evangelism and stewardship committees and was vice moderator elect.
Until moving to Tucumcari, Brother Hinze was serving for the second time on the executive board of the Baptist Convention of New Mexico. During his earlier tenure, he chaired the Board's education committee, served as vice-chairman and chairman and was a member of the Baptist Building's relocation committee. For the past two years, Brother Hinze has chaired the board's missions mobilization committee, and in 2003 he was a member of the Committee on Committees. He has been a state children's and youth Bible drill caller since 1992.
While serving in Carlsbad, Brother Hinze also was a member of the Happy Valley volunteer fire department, on the board of directors of the Carlsbad Battered Families Shelter, on the executive committee of chaplains for the Carlsbad Medical Center, which he chaired, on the selection committee for a head football coach for Carlsbad High School and was president of the Cavemen Football Boosters.
A graduate of Artesia High School, Hinze attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales in pursuit of a bachelor of science degree in religion. He also attended Arlington (Texas) Baptist College.
Previously Hinze served as pastor of Mayhill Baptist Church, 1990-96; pastor, New Testament Baptist Churrch, Portales, 1985-90; assistant Baptist Student Union director, ENMU, 1988-90; youth and outreach director, Forrest Heights Baptist Church, Clovis, 1983-85; and associate pastor, Sioux City (Iowa) Baptist Church, 1981.
Brother Hinze was licensed to the gospel ministry by Forrest Heights, Clovis, in 1984 and ordained by New Testament, Portales, in 1985.
The Hinzes have been married since 1982. They have two grown children, Alyssa Rae and Jordan Edward.
Brother John has already joined the rural volunteer fire department for Quay County.
Email SueSue came back to work for First Baptist church on November 6th, 2003, She has worked for First Baptist Church off and on for 18 years. husband's name is Harold, they have lived in Tucumcari since 1965. They have 3 kids all of who graduated from Tucumcari High School. Sue works on Monday's and Tuesday's of each week. Watch out on Monday mornings when the tellers count the money, She will say "count it again and Show me the Money".
Email Cindy Cindy came to work for First Baptist Church on April 28th, 2003. Cindy works in the office Monday - Friday. She has been in Tucumcari since 1975, where she attended and graduated from Tucumcari High School. She has 2 kids both of who also graduated from Tucumcari High School. She is raising her granddaughter Lacey. When anyone in the office needs a phone number we say "hey DEX we need a number ".
Judy came to work for First Baptist Church on Dec. 1st, 2005. She is a full time employee that works Monday - Friday. She has 3 kids. She helping raise her grandson Josiah. Judy is a long time resident of Tucumcari, she also was raised here and graduated from Tucumcari High School. " We all watch what we throw away or Judy will say " Why are you throwing this away it's still good" (aka The Hoarder). The pastor keeps telling her " just throw it away!!!!".
